Prairie state musical
Oklahoma! is the landmark 1943 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, considered the first fully integrated book musical where songs advance plot and character rather than interrupting them.
Set in Indian Territory around 1906, it follows a farm girl choosing between two suitors.
The exclamation point is part of the title: We're doing Oklahoma! this spring.
