curtain call
Post-performance acknowledgment
A curtain call is the appearance of performers at the end of a show to acknowledge applause.
The cast returns to the stage, often as the curtain rises again, to bow and receive the audience's appreciation: The lead actress took three curtain calls.
Figuratively, a curtain call is any final appearance or last hurrah: The aging quarterback's comeback season was his curtain call.
