VGA

Analog video standard

VGA stands for Video Graphics Array, a display standard introduced by IBM in 1987 that became the baseline for computer monitors.

VGA typically refers to the chunky 15-pin connector that carried analog video signals: I need a VGA cable for the projector.

Though largely superseded by HDMI and DisplayPort, VGA ports persist on older equipment and some projectors.
