tube TV
Bulky old television
A tube TV is a television that uses a cathode ray tube to display images—the bulky, heavy sets that dominated homes before flat screens.
The tube refers to the vacuum tube that fires electrons at a phosphorescent screen.
My parents still have an old tube TV in the basement.
Now largely obsolete, replaced by LCD and LED technology.
