S-VHS
Better VHS format
S-VHS, or Super VHS, was an improved version of the VHS videotape format introduced in the late 1980s.
It offered notably higher resolution than standard VHS, making it popular among amateur videographers and for industrial applications where better image quality mattered.
S-VHS tapes and equipment were more expensive than regular VHS, which limited consumer adoption.
The format is now obsolete, having been superseded by digital video formats.
