Japantown

Japanese ethnic enclave

Japantown is a neighborhood with a historically significant Japanese American population and concentration of Japanese businesses, restaurants, and cultural institutions.

Major Japantowns exist in San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles, though many others were dispersed by World War II internment and urban renewal.
