Little India
South Asian district
Little India is a neighborhood or district in a city outside India where Indian immigrants have concentrated, establishing businesses, restaurants, temples, and cultural institutions.
Many major cities have one: Singapore's Little India, London's Southall, Chicago's Devon Avenue.
We went to Little India for dosa and saris.
The name follows the pattern of Little Italy, Chinatown, and similar ethnic enclaves.
