izakaya
Tokyo drinking spot
An izakaya is a Japanese bar that serves food alongside drinks—comparable to a gastropub or tavern.
The atmosphere is casual and social, with small plates meant for sharing: grilled skewers, edamame, sashimi.
We grabbed beers and yakitori at the izakaya after work.
