Little Saigon

Overseas Vietnamese neighborhood

Little Saigon is a Vietnamese ethnic enclave, typically a neighborhood or commercial district with Vietnamese restaurants, shops, and cultural institutions.

The name references Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) and marks communities formed by refugees after the Vietnam War.

The largest is in Orange County, California, but Little Saigons exist in cities across the United States, Australia, and elsewhere: We drove to Little Saigon for pho.
