Hangzhou
West Lake's city
Hangzhou is a major city in eastern China, capital of Zhejiang Province, situated at the southern end of the Grand Canal near the Qiangtang River.
Long celebrated for West Lake and its surrounding gardens, the city was considered one of the world's largest and most prosperous during the Song dynasty.
Today it serves as a tech hub, home to Alibaba's headquarters: We visited Hangzhou to see the tea plantations.
