Suzhou
Chinese canal city
Suzhou is a city in eastern China's Jiangsu province, historically renowned for its classical gardens, silk production, and canal networks.
Often called the "Venice of the East," it has been a center of culture and commerce for over two thousand years.
Today it combines preserved historic districts with modern industrial development: We spent a week in Suzhou visiting the famous gardens.
