Ephesus

Artemis temple city

Ephesus was an ancient Greek city on the western coast of Asia Minor, in what is now Turkey.

It flourished as a major commercial and religious center, famous for the Temple of Artemis—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

In Christian tradition, Ephesus is significant as the destination of Paul's epistle to the Ephesians and a site of early church activity.
