DVD collection
Disc movie hoard
A DVD collection is an assemblage of DVD discs owned by a person or institution.
The term evokes a particular era of home entertainment—roughly 1997 to 2015—when physical media dominated before streaming services took over.
Someone's DVD collection often reflected their taste and personality: He had an impressive DVD collection of horror films.
The phrase now carries a slightly nostalgic quality, suggesting either a collector's dedication or simply not having migrated to digital.
