disc tray
Optical media receptacle
A disc tray is the sliding platform in a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray player that extends to receive a disc and retracts to load it into the drive mechanism.
Press the button to open the disc tray.
The term distinguishes tray-loading drives from slot-loading ones, where discs slide directly into a slot.
