Bosnians

Southeastern European population

Bosnians are people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country in southeastern Europe on the Balkan Peninsula.

The term covers all citizens regardless of ethnicity, though Bosnia's population includes distinct groups—Bosniaks (Muslims), Serbs (Orthodox Christians), and Croats (Catholics)—whose tensions fueled the brutal 1990s war following Yugoslavia's breakup.

Many Bosnians immigrated to the U.S. during the conflict.
