BCAA

Branched amino acids

BCAA stands for branched-chain amino acids—leucine, isoleucine, and valine—three essential amino acids the body cannot produce on its own.

The term appears almost exclusively in fitness and nutrition contexts, where BCAA supplements are marketed to support muscle growth and recovery: I take BCAAs before my workout.
