Aristotelianism
Stagirite's intellectual legacy
Aristotelianism is the philosophical tradition stemming from Aristotle, the ancient Greek thinker.
It emphasizes empirical observation, logical reasoning, and the study of causes—particularly the purpose or end toward which things tend.
Aristotelian thought shaped medieval theology, scientific method, and Western intellectual tradition broadly: Thomism blended Aristotelianism with Christian doctrine.
An Aristotelian is someone who follows or studies this tradition.
