wild cherry
Untamed stone fruit
Wild cherry is any of several cherry trees that grow in the wild rather than being cultivated, especially the North American black cherry or the European gean.
The wood is prized for furniture and cabinetry.
Wild cherry also names the tart fruit of these trees, and a flavor meant to evoke it: wild cherry cough drops, wild cherry soda.
