wheelwright
Wagon circle maker
A wheelwright is a craftsman who builds and repairs wooden wheels, especially the spoked wheels used on carts, wagons, and carriages.
The trade required expertise in woodworking, metalwork, and the physics of load-bearing.
Once essential to transportation, wheelwrights became rare after motor vehicles replaced horse-drawn conveyances.
