tinsmith

Light metal artisan

A tinsmith is a craftsman who makes and repairs objects from tin and other light metals—pots, pans, lanterns, and similar household items.

The trade was common before mass manufacturing: The tinsmith traveled from farm to farm mending kitchenware.

Also called a whitesmith or tinner.
