tombola

Rotating ticket lottery

A tombola is a lottery-style game where participants buy tickets and winners are drawn from a rotating drum or container.

Common at British fairs, fêtes, and charity events, prizes typically include donated items displayed on a table: We won a bottle of wine at the tombola.

The American equivalent is usually called a raffle.
