sweepstake

Random winner competition

Sweepstake is an older or less common form of sweepstakes—a contest where a winner is chosen by chance from among all entrants, or a horse race where the entire prize goes to the winner.

The singular form appears occasionally in British usage but sounds odd to American ears, where sweepstakes dominates regardless of whether one or many prizes are involved.
