card counting
Casino mental tracking
Card counting is a blackjack strategy where players track the ratio of high to low cards remaining in the deck to gain an edge over the casino.
When the deck is rich in tens and aces, the counter bets more; when it favors low cards, they bet less.
Though not illegal, casinos ban suspected counters and may ask them to leave: They caught him card counting and escorted him out.
