bumper cars
Crash-happy carnival ride
Bumper cars are small electric vehicles designed to be driven into each other for amusement.
Found at carnivals and amusement parks, they operate on a floor that supplies power through a metal grid, with each car drawing current through a pole touching the ceiling or floor.
The point is collision: We spent an hour ramming each other in the bumper cars.
Also called dodgems, especially in British English.
