ticked

Irritated, but contained

Ticked means marked with a tick or check mark: I ticked off the items on my list.

In British usage, ticked often pairs with off to mean annoyed or irritated: She was really ticked off about the delay.

American English uses ticked the same way, sometimes without the off: That comment really ticked me.
