tachycardia
Pulse too fast
Tachycardia is an abnormally rapid heartbeat, typically defined as over 100 beats per minute at rest.
The term is medical but widely understood: The ER doctor said her tachycardia was caused by dehydration.
Tachycardia can result from exercise, anxiety, fever, or heart conditions.
The opposite is bradycardia.
