heart rhythm
Heartbeat's regular pattern
Heart rhythm is the pattern of electrical impulses that coordinate the heartbeat.
A normal heart rhythm means the heart beats steadily and at an appropriate rate.
Abnormal heart rhythms—arrhythmias—include conditions where the heart beats too fast, too slow, or irregularly: The monitor showed an irregular heart rhythm.
Doctors may speak of restoring normal heart rhythm after intervention.
