Woozy, unsteady sensation
Lightheadedness is a sensation of faintness or dizziness, as though you might pass out.
It often comes from standing up too quickly, dehydration, or low blood sugar: I felt a wave of lightheadedness and had to sit down.
Distinguished from vertigo, which involves a spinning sensation, lightheadedness is more a feeling of being unsteady or about to lose consciousness.
