sizzle reel
Career clips compilation
A sizzle reel is a short promotional video designed to generate excitement about a project, person, or company.
In entertainment, actors and directors use sizzle reels to showcase their work to potential employers or investors.
The term comes from the marketing phrase "sell the sizzle, not the steak"—emphasizing appeal over substance: We put together a sizzle reel to pitch the series to Netflix.
