rope climbs
Hand-over-hand exercises
Rope climbs are a strength exercise where you pull yourself up a vertically hanging rope, typically using both arms and legs.
A staple of military training, gym class, and CrossFit workouts, they build grip strength and upper body power.
The legless variation—climbing without wrapping the legs around the rope—is considerably harder: I finally got my first legless rope climb.
