legless
Like a snake
Legless describes something lacking legs: a legless lizard, a legless chair.
In British slang, legless means extremely drunk—so intoxicated you can barely stand: We got absolutely legless at the pub last night.
The slang sense plays on the literal inability to use one's legs.
