monkey bars
Overhead ladder playground
Monkey bars are a playground structure of horizontal bars arranged in a ladder-like frame, designed for children to swing from rung to rung: She crossed the monkey bars without stopping.
The name comes from the swinging motion resembling how monkeys move through trees.
Also called a jungle gym, though that term sometimes refers to larger climbing structures.
