reverse lunges
Stepping back squats
Reverse lunges are a lower-body exercise where you step backward into a lunge position rather than forward.
From standing, one foot steps back while both knees bend until the rear knee nearly touches the ground, then you return to standing.
The backward step reduces forward momentum, making it easier on the knees than forward lunges: I switched to reverse lunges after my knee started bothering me.
