ocelot

Small American feline

An ocelot is a small wild cat native to the Americas, from Texas through Central and South America.

It has a distinctive spotted and striped coat resembling a leopard's but on a smaller frame—about twice the size of a house cat.

Ocelots are nocturnal hunters, solitary, and were once heavily trapped for their fur.
