jaguar
Rosette-coated American cat
A jaguar is a large wild cat native to the Americas, the third-largest feline after tigers and lions.
Jaguars have tawny coats with distinctive black rosette patterns and are known for their powerful build and strong bite.
They inhabit forests and wetlands from Mexico through South America: We spotted a jaguar crossing the river in the Pantanal. (Capitalized Jaguar is the British luxury car brand.)
