nukes

Heats up quickly

Nukes are nuclear weapons—bombs or warheads that derive their destructive force from atomic reactions.

The term extends to nuclear power plants and submarines.

As a verb, to nuke is to attack with nuclear weapons, or more casually, to microwave something: Just nuke the leftovers for two minutes.

To nuke also means to destroy utterly: The update nuked my saved files.
