hydrogen bomb
Thermonuclear explosive device
A hydrogen bomb is a nuclear weapon that derives its explosive force from fusion—the combining of hydrogen isotopes into helium, the same process that powers the sun.
Far more destructive than atomic bombs, which rely on fission, hydrogen bombs can be thousands of times more powerful.
Also called H-bomb or thermonuclear bomb.
