newsboys

Young paper sellers

Newsboys are boys or young men who sell or deliver newspapers.

The term evokes a historical image—street vendors hawking papers on corners, calling out headlines.

Though the occupation has largely disappeared, newsboy persists in newsboy cap, a style of soft, rounded cap with a front brim, originally associated with working-class youth.
