newsboy
Young paper seller
A newsboy is a boy who sells or delivers newspapers.
The term evokes a historical image—young boys hawking papers on street corners in the early twentieth century: Extra, extra, read all about it!
The newsboy cap, a rounded cloth cap with a small brim, takes its name from this figure.
The role has largely disappeared, though newspaper delivery persists in modified form.
