mail carriers
Route-walking postal workers
Mail carriers are postal workers who deliver mail to homes and businesses along assigned routes.
The term is gender-neutral, replacing the older *mailman*.
In the United States, mail carriers work for the Postal Service; in Britain, the equivalent is *postman* or *postal worker*.
The mail carrier left a package on the porch.
