model village
Scaled-down settlement replica
A model village is a miniature replica of a village or town, built to scale as a tourist attraction or hobbyist display.
Visitors walk among tiny buildings, streets, and landscaping that recreate real places or idealized scenes: We spent the afternoon at Bekonscot, the oldest model village in the world.
The term also refers to planned communities built by industrialists or philanthropists to house workers in improved conditions, such as Bournville or Port Sunlight.
