rendition
Artist's personal version
Rendition is a particular interpretation or performance of something, especially a song or dramatic piece: Her rendition of the national anthem brought the crowd to tears.
The word extends to any version or translation of a work.
In legal and political contexts, rendition refers to the surrender or transfer of a person from one jurisdiction to another, often controversially applied to the extrajudicial transfer of terrorism suspects to countries where harsh interrogation is permitted.
