lighter fluid
Fuel for flames
Lighter fluid is a flammable liquid used to ignite charcoal grills or refill cigarette lighters.
The charcoal variety is a petroleum-based accelerant that helps briquettes catch fire: Soak the coals in lighter fluid before lighting.
Butane lighter fluid comes in pressurized cans for refilling lighters.
Both are highly combustible and toxic if ingested.
