lightness
Opposite of heaviness
Lightness has two distinct clusters of meaning.
One concerns weight: the lightness of a feather, the lightness of a dancer's step.
The other concerns brightness or paleness: the lightness of a room, the lightness of her complexion.
Both extend to mood and manner—a lightness of spirit suggests either unburdened ease or cheerful brightness, the senses blurring together.
