liberator
Breaker of chains
A liberator is someone who sets others free from captivity, oppression, or foreign rule.
The term often carries heroic connotations: Simón Bolívar is called the Liberator of South America.
It can apply to anyone who frees another from any form of constraint: She saw her therapist as a liberator from old patterns of thinking.
