isoline

Equal-value curve

An isoline is a line on a map connecting points of equal value—equal elevation, temperature, atmospheric pressure, or other measurable quantity.

Contour lines showing terrain are isolines; so are isobars on weather maps.

The prefix *iso-* means equal, and isolines go by specific names depending on what they measure: isotherms for temperature, isobaths for water depth.
