fronting
Facing the audience
Fronting is putting something at the front or presenting a false front.
In grammar, fronting moves an element to the beginning of a sentence for emphasis: Delicious, this cake is.
In slang, fronting means putting on a false appearance or pretending to be something you're not: Stop fronting—we know you can't afford that car.
Someone who fronts a band is its public face.
To front money is to provide it in advance.
