forwards

In advancing direction

Forwards means in the direction ahead, toward the front: She stepped forwards, The project is moving forwards.

It's interchangeable with forward in most contexts, though forward is more common in American English and forwards in British.

Both work as adverbs; as an adjective, only forward applies: a forward motion, not forwards.
