pucks

Frozen rubber discs

Pucks is the plural of puck, most commonly the hard rubber disk used in ice hockey: The goalie blocked three pucks in rapid succession.

A puck is also a mouse-like input device used with graphics tablets, or any small disk-shaped object.

In folklore, Puck is a mischievous sprite—the trickster in Shakespeare's *A Midsummer Night's Dream*.
