flatness
Lack of curves
Flatness is the quality of being flat—level, smooth, or without variation.
A surface has flatness when it lacks bumps or curves.
The word extends to anything lacking dimension or interest: the flatness of a performance, the flatness of the prairie, the flatness of stale beer.
In technical contexts, flatness measures how closely a surface approaches a perfect plane.
